Giving Birth to New Opportunity
Scenario: Maternity leave is a fact of life and a wondrous event for those involved. When the time arrives in the throes of incubating a Communications Leadership Development Program, and a comprehensive recruiting effort for a Fortune 50 corporation, the transition can be especially challenging. In this case, a two-year rotational leadership program designed to build communications leaders within every business unit required a true champion. The challenge went out to HROI.
Response: Arrange for an HR OptIn consultant who could step right in, demonstrate the needed initative and keep things moving forward without missing a beat.
Proposition: How can a pivotal replacement candidate be brought into the workflow of a major program with seamless implementation?
Action:
- Process Definition – The employer needed someone to handle the recruiting forum, the entire offer process, and the on-boarding of all candidates.
- Task Specification – The scope of work included developing the rotational assignments with the assignment managers, planning the mid-assignment and final performance appraisal process, planning all core skills training for the program participants, and acting as the program leader.
- Smooth Transition – Team HROI was able to provide an appropriately detailed orientation to the right, senior-level candidates to model the assimilation process in advance and ensure its smooth implementation.
